The Hon. Anthony Foxx ā93 joined 91µ¼ŗ½ President Carol E. Quillen today for a conversation about Davidsonās mission to educate leaders who create change, and our responsibility to amplify the national conversation on social injustice and systemic racism during this time of grief, anguish and anger.
āOur conversation today cannot provide the balm or solution,ā Quillen said. āI hope it provides a re-affirmation of the collegeās values: that Davidson as a community strives to honor the dignity of each human being; we commit ourselves to the quest for truth; and we seek to build a more just and humane world. Systemic racism is antithetical to those values. We at Davidson commit to both understanding and dismantling systemic racism here and broadly in this country.ā
